"Be one of the 15 participants from across the Goldfields-Esperance region joining this exciting program, running from September – November 2015. Develop your personal leadership capability, expand your knowledge of our regional opportunities, and connect with other leaders who share your enthusiasm for making a difference."

The ‘Artful Leadership for Community Building’ Program is a structured leadership development program being delivered by Karrak Consulting on behalf of the Country Arts WA.

The program includes:

  • Three workshops of three-days, spaced approximately six weeks apart
  • A self-directed individual or group leadership project
  • One-on-one professional leadership coaching
  • Small ‘action-learning’ group project discussions with coaching support.

Program Aims

The ‘Artful Leadership for Community Building’ Program has been specially designed to build the capacity, knowledge and networks of leaders in the Goldfields-Esperance region who are keen to contribute to the role culture and arts plays in the life of community.

It will increase your…

  • Self-awareness and confidence and strengthen your sense of purpose
  • Ability to positively influence outcomes through enhanced communication and relationship skills
  • Awareness of regional challenges and opportunities and how they can be innovatively addressed
  • Leadership networks within the Goldfields-Esperance region.

Participation and Commitment

1. Program Time and Energy

Successful applicants are asked to commit themselves to full participation in the program, this includes:

  • Attending all three workshops and all nine (9) workshop days.
  • Activities associated with planning and implementing your own leadership project (which may be an individual or group project).
  • Participating in at least three action-learning project group sessions to support your leadership project.
  • Having three one-on-one individual coaching sessions.
  • Completing evaluation surveys conducted by Country Arts WA.

2. Program Fee

There is a non-refundable participant fee of $770 (including GST), payable to Country Arts WA on acceptance into the program.

Please note that final participant selection will be made by a selection panel based on the merits of each application AND on ensuring a diverse mix of participants. The selection panel's decisions are final.

We anticipate selection will be based on applications alone, but we may contact referees if necessary.

Successful applicants will be notified by email by Friday 21st August 2015.
